The long-awaited sequel to the popular Beverly Hills Cop trilogy is finally in the works, with Eddie Murphy, Judge Reinhold, Kevin Bacon, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt set to star.
The film, titled Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, will be the fourth installment in the popular comedy franchise, which has grossed over $700 million at the US Box office alone. Murphy will reprise his role as Axel Foley, the Detroit cop who travels to Beverly Hills to solve crimes.
The film is directed by Mark Molloy and written by Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec. The producers are Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is scheduled to be released in 2024.
